TROVET Unique Protein UPV is an ideal food to use as an elimination diet. This may be necessary to determine if your dog or cat has a food hypersensitivity, intolerance or allergy. You start by choosing an unknown protein source, such as venison, for example. This should be a protein source that your pet has not eaten before. You supplement this with a carbohydrate source, such as home-cooked rice or potato. Finally, you add vitamins and minerals to make the menu complete. If your dog or cat responds well to this food, you can move on to a complete food based on the same protein and carbohydrate source.
